Problems connected with the determination of toxic metals in lacquer products
The method of quantitative separation and determination of trace amounts of toxic metals in paints and lacquers has been developed. The method of wet decomposition (acid extracts) and of ashing under closely specified conditions has been applied. Lead, mercury, antimony, cadmium, chromium, arsenic and barium were determined by using conventional methods, chiefly spectrophotometric methods in the visible spectra region.
