Problems of catalysts in the technology of polyurethanes

Polimery 1981, No 5, 162

DOI: dx.doi.org/10.14314/polimery.1981.162

Summary

Problems connected with the use of catalysts in the technology of polyurethanes have been indicated. From among the theoretical problems, the unexplained mechanism of the catalyzed reactions and the need for a unified method for determining the actyvity of catalysts have been mentioned. To practical unsolved problems belong: multidirectional action of catalysts which accelerate both the side reactions and the processes of destruction and have an influence on the useful properties of polyurethane preparations.
