Properties of the polyisobutylene contact adhesives

Polimery 1986, No 1, 20

DOI: dx.doi.org/10.14314/polimery.1986.020

The adhesive and rheological properties of polyisobutylenes (PIB) differing in their molecular mass as well as of their mixtures with sodium salt of carboxymethylcellulose (KMC) (85 : 15 by weight) have been investigated. A co rre lation between the rheological properties of PIB and PIB/КМС compositions and their adhesion to surfaces of different energetical characteristics (steel, PMMA, PTFE) has been established.
