Relaxation processes and electrical propert ies of amorphous phase in urethane elastomer
The permittivity and dielectric loss has been measured in a wide range of temperature and the studies by the method of thermally stimulated polarization and depolarization have been carried out for a block urethane elastomer based oi oligo(ethylene adipate). diphenylmethane 4,4'-diisocyanate and 1,4-butanediol. Two relaxation processes, a and b, have been observed in the temperature range 110—290 K (—193 to + 17°C). The first has been interpreted as glass transition and the second as connected with local motions of fragments of the amorphous phase of flexible (polyester) segments of the elastomer.
