Resistance to aging of polyurethane elastomers
The effect of an accelerated weathering on the changes in relative elongation at break of stabilized and non-stabilized polyurethane elastomer films has been investigated. The changes in chemical structure of polymers during aging have been determined by IR-spectroscopy. A synergetic stabilizing system, comprising an antioxidant and a UV-absorber, has been the most efficient among the additives ex amined.
