Some aspects of thermal degradation of poly(vinyl chloride). Part I. Irregular structures in PVC molecules as a factor influencing thermal stability of the polymer

Polimery 1995, No 5, 257

DOI: dx.doi.org/10.14314/polimery.1995.257

Some irregular structures occurring in PVC, i.e., unsaturations, head-to-head configurations, oxidation structures, branches, and end-groups, have been presented. Reported mechanisms of formation of these structures have been also discussed. These irregularities have been shown to essentially affect of course of PVC degradation, especially at the initiation stage.
