Summary


Homopolymerizatlon of γ-methacryloxypropylotrimethoxysilane and its copolymerizatlon with styrene have been car­ried out at a temperature of 130°C in bulk in the presence of tert-butyl perbenzoate as an initiator. The compositions of copolymers have been determined and the reactivity ratios of silane and styrene calculated. The dependence of the overall rate of copolymerizatlon and of the rates of copolymerization of the individual comonomers on the initial ratio of comonomers has been investigated. The effect of the composition of comonomers on their Intrinsic viscosity has been characterized.
