Summary

The thermogravimetric analysis of the following compounds: tetrabromobisphenol A, melamine cyanurate, magnesium monohydrogen phosphate and hydratem alumina as well as their two-and three-component mixtures with chloroparaffin and antymony oxide has been carried out. By the oxygen index and burner methods, the flammability of vulcanizates containing such mixtures has been determined. The effect of these fire retardants on mechanical properties of vulcanized rubbers has been investigated. A system comprising fire retardants with a synergetic effect has been selected.
