Summary

The preparation of uniform and elastic films from dispersions of polymers and copolymers is of great practical importance. Such films can be obtained only at a temperature higher than the minimum film-forming temperature (MFT) and than the glass transition point (Tg). In the work the values of Tn and MFT have been determined for copolymers of vinyl acetate with ethyl acrylate, methyl methacrylate and vinyl chloride. The effect of the copolymer composition and type of surfactant used on the values of these two parameters has been investigated.
