Studies on the synthesis and photo- and physico-chemical properties of a light-sensitive
polyester from 3- and 4-azido-o-phthalic acid anhydride and 1 ,7-heptanediol
Light-sensitive polyesters have been prepared from 1,7-heptanediol and azide-derivatives of o-phthalic anhydride. The course of photolysis of azide group in these polyesters in the function of irradiation time has been investigated basing on the changes in UV-spectrum. It has been demonstrated that the position of —N3 group has an essential influence on the quantum yield of photolysis.
