II. Studies on volatile by-products from synthesis of chloroalkyl phosphates

Polimery 1981, No 7, 259

DOI: dx.doi.org/10.14314/polimery.1981.259

Summary

Low molecular weight by-products formed during the preparation of chloroalkyl phosphates from phosphorus oxychloride and ethylene oxide have been identified by GC/MS method. The conditions of chromatographic separation have been given and the origin of by-products have been suggested. Mainly chloroalkanes and chloroalcohols resulted probably from the reaction of alkylene oxides with HCl, and products of di- or isomerisation of alkylene oxides have been found.
