Summary

The course of thermal decomposition and main products of this decomposition have been investigated in the case of three phosphates: tri(chloroethyl), tri(chloropropyl). And tri(dichloropropyl) phosphate. By the method of oxygen index test, the efficiency of these compounds as fire retardants in polyurethane foam has been determined. It has been found that the efficiency of all these phosphates is similar, but under the experimental conditions tri(chloroethyl) phosphate exhibited somewhat better properties.
