Summary

Conditions of synthesis of hydroxyetheramine oligomers with hydrophilic properties by the polyaddition of aliphatic primary amines (ethanolamine, n-octadecylamine, ethylenediamine) either with diglycidyl ethers of diethylene and triethylene glycol or with aliphatic diepoxide resins, the main component of these resins being the mentioned diglycidyl ethers. Three groups of products have been obtained: oligomers completely soluble in water, hydrophobic-hydrophilic oligomers with surface activity at the water—toluene interface, and crosslinked hydroxyetheramine oligomers of hydrogel type. The molecular mass, viscosity, and solubility of these products have been characterized and the effect of their chemical structure on their efficiency as stabilizers of toluene—water emulsions and on water sorption capacity (in case of crosslinked oligomers) has been determined.
