Summary

The chemical structure of the rigid segment of oligo(alkylene terephthalate) in block copolyester-ethers has been controlled by changing the number of carbon atoms in the n-alkylene grouping of this segment and the degree of its polyesterification has been regulated by the molar ratio of substrates taken in the synthesis. The deciding effect of the chemical structure and length of the oligoester segments on the strength properties and softening temperature of the copolyester-ether elastomers has been stated.
