Synthesis and properties of polyimides from N-substituted imides obtained
from amino acids and dianhydrides

Polimery 1994, No 2, 61

DOI: dx.doi.org/10.14314/polimery.1994.061

A literature review was presented for the last decade concerning the synthesis, properties and structure of copolyimides. A mechanism of pyrolysis of poly(ester imides) and poly(amide imides) was described, too. An influence of imide rings on the structure and liquid-crystalline properties of the same copolymers was discussed. Poly(ester imides) were applied as packing materials in gas-liquid chromatography. It has stated in publications cited that some of these polymers might be used as components of insulating varnishes.
