Summary

General operational principles of temperature measurement and control systems in extruders were presented and characteristics of extruders as thermal objects was discussed. The principles of a two-step temperature control without corrections and with a dynamic correction were presented and the advantages of the second procedure were pointed out. The main methods of temperature measurement in the individual zones of extruders were also presented with particular attention paid to the accuracy of measurement.
