The effect of flame retardants on the crystallization of PET fibres

Polimery 1984, No 2, 49

DOI: dx.doi.org/10.14314/polimery.1983.049

It has been found that some flame retardants change the course of the crystallization process in poly(ethylene terephthalate) fibres by exerting an influence on the nucleation process in PET and thus decreasing the crystallization rate. As a result of this process, a finer grain crystal structure has been obtained.
