The effect of hardening of epoxy molding composites on electrical conduction

Electrical conduction of the amorphous phase in epoxy molding composites, determined primarily by the filler, was found to be associated during polymerization with a virtually constant conduction activation energy. On the other hand, the activation energy associated with conduction of the resin contained in the composite, is related to the stage of polymerization. The probabilistic theory of cross-linked polymers allows to explain the nature of changes in the conduction activation energy of the basic structure and of the dopants during polymerization of molding composites.
