structure, and properties of thermoplastic copolyester-ethers (KPEE)

Summary

The DSC, WAXS and dynamic-mechanical-properties methods were applied the characterization of KPEE properties in a wide range of temperatures (from -90°C to melting point of samples). KPEE were composed of rigid segments of poly(tetramethylene terephthalate) (PTMT) and of soft segments of oligo(l,4- xytetramethylene) with a molecular weight of 650, 1000, 2000, and 2900. KPEE were investigated in the full range of variation of the relative ratio of these segments. It was found that KPEE with segmented structure of macromolecule have a heterogeneous structure. The temperature criteria of crystallization of soft and rigid segments were determined.
