on the properties of poly (ether-ester-amide) block terpolymer

Summary

Novel triblock ether-ester-amide terpolymers were synthesized by melt polycondesation from hard oligo(tetramethylene terephthalate) (PBT), oligo(laurolactam) (PA12), and soft oligo(oxytetramethylene) (PTMO) blocks. Thermal (by DSC), relaxation (by DMTA) and mechanical properties of the resulting triblock PTMO-PBT-PA12 copolymers were examined in relation to the degree of condensation polymerization of the PBT block. The degree of condensation polymerization (pk) of the PBT block in the samples examined ranged from 0.25 to 14.
