The effect of the structure of Al-alloys surface on the strength of adhesive bondsasticizers
The changes in the structure of Al-alloys surface after various preliminary treatment processes — to start with degreasing through etching, passivation etching and to end with anodic oxidation — have been investigated. The effect of the thus-formed structure of surface on the adhesion strength of adhesive bonds has been evaluated on the basis of peel-strength tests and microscopic observations. The dependence of the peel strength on the surface resistivity of tiles cemented together has also been determined.
