Summary

Blends of polystyrene with poly(methyl methacrylate) have been prepared by dissolving the components In methylene chloride and evaporating the solvent from the thus-prepared solution. A complete mutual insolubility of components has been stated. The trace amounts of methylene chloride form the third component of the system. The heterogenous phase structure of these blends results in the changes in elasticity modulus in the function of composition. No changes in tensile strength are, however, observed.
