The problems of eliminating chlorofluoroalkanes in the production of polyurethane foams

Polimery 1995, No 4, 208

DOI: dx.doi.org/10.14314/polimery.1995.208

An ample review of topics concerned with the use of foaming agents in polyurethane foam production was presented, with particular attention paid to the elimination of chlorofluoroalkanes (CFCs). The possibility of replacing CFCs with substitutional components or their elimination by changing composition of the reaction mixture was discussed. A detailed characteristics of some selected physically-foaming agents was given with particular attention paid to properties influencing the environmental hazards.
