The use of polymers for the immobilisation of enzymes and other biologically-active molecules

Polimery 1980, No 1, 1

DOI: dx.doi.org/10.14314/polimery.1980.001

The advantages of polymeric support materials and rules of their selection according to the type of use have been discussed. A review of various type polymers which can serve as support matrices has been given. They are, e.g., polymeric carbohydrate derivatives, poly(allyl carbonate) and poly(allyl alcohol), polymers of acrylamidosalicylic acids, polyacrylamide derivatives, etc. Some examples of the use of immobilised enzymes and other biologically-active molecules have been mentioned.
