Thermally stimulated luminescence of epoxide compositions

Thermally stimulated luminescence (TSL) method was applied to estimate curing degree of various epoxide compositions. Using Epidian 5 epoxy resin wit h various proportinos of triethylenetetraamine as a model system, it has been found that relative change in the luminescencje intensity vs. relative change in dielectric loss factor are inlinear proportion and can bei also correlated to the change in some mechanical properties. TSL glow curves for epoxide compositions containing a mineral filler are interpreted. It has been shown that TSL curves can be used to investigate curing and to select an optimum curing lime of the epoxide compositions.
