Summary

Water vapor permeability Риго was measured by the dish method for the foils PET-25, PE-35, PE-90, and PET/met/PE [PET — poly(ethylene terephthalate), PE — LDPE, met — aluminum foil] at T - 298.15 } 0.05 К and ARM = 76.5%. Results were used to determine the constant К of the measuring cell for the transient transmission method developed by the Author. The transient method was applied at T = 298.15 + 0.05 К to measure the water vapor permeability of the foils PET-50, PET/met and PA/met/PE. The results were compared with the Pmo values determined by the dish method under the same conditions. The data were consistent. The value Ph20 - 4.76 gm'2 (24 h)'1 RH_1102 determined by the transient method for the foil PET-50 was consistent with the literature data [6]. The method developed allows to obtain reliable water vapor permeability data for packaging foils.
