Urethane elastomers crosslinked by cumyl peroxide.

Part I. Influence of amount of cumy peroxide on the properties of elastomers extender by means of different diols

DOI: dx.doi.org/10.14314/polimery.1981.317

Summary

Urethane elastomers were synthesised from poly(ethylene adipate), diphenylmethane 4,4'-diisocyanate and different dlols as chain extenders. Then C-C cross-links were formed by means of cumyl peroxide. It has been found that the macroscopic properties and morphology of urethane elastomers depend on the used amount of cumyl peroxide and on the obtained crosslinking density of C-C and allophanate links.
