Verification of the model of sulfur vulcanization of natural rubber by comparison of the values
of bond energies in nodes of the vulcanizate network, as determined by various methods
On the basis of stress relaxation studies and analysis of vulcametric curve the values of energy of various types of sulfide bonds present in the spatial network of natural rubber vulcanizates obtained with the use of various sulfur — containing vulcanizing systems have been determined. The results have been compared with literature data con cerning the dissociation energy of these bonds. The presence of considerable differences both in the values obtained by the Authors by these two methods for the energy of various sulfide bonds and in the data of various sources has been pointed out.
