DOI: dx.doi.org/10.14314/polimery.1996.687

Under the Research Project No. 7 7375 93/C/1197, VC emission from the PVC plant in the Nitrogen Works „ Włocławek" S.A. has been decreased over 90% in comparison to the level designed by licenser. VC emission sources were detected and analyzed, VC determination methods were selected, emission suppressing methods were adjusted to the process run and to the prevailing concentrations, purification procedures were chosen, and methods were selected to control the streams to be vented. The efficiency of the condensation purification of the off-gases was enhanced and a membrane (permeation) technique was applied to gas separation processes together with a biological treatment involving a trickling bed.
