Brussels INNOVA 2016

BRUSSELS INNOVA 2016The 65th edition of The World Exhibition on Inventions, Research and New Technology Brussels INNOVA 2016 was held on 17-20 November 2016. The Industrial Chemistry Research Institute presented two inventions, rewarded with gold medals with mention.

"Novel ecological flame retardant modifiers for PVC” (authors: Dr. Agnieszka Abramowicz, Chem. Eng.; Regina Jeziórska, D.Sc., Chem. Eng., prof. IChP; Dr. Maria Obłój-Muzaj; Marcin Kumosiński, M. Sc., Chem. Eng.; Dr. Agnieszka Górska, Chem. Eng. – from IChP and Dr. Ryszard Grzybek, Katarzyna Potajczuk-Czajka, M. Sc.,
Chem. Eng. – from Grupa Azoty ZAK S.A.. This invention was granted CONCEPTUM Exhibitions Award from the organizers.

Brussels 2016 Awards"The method of removing of wood preservatives containing polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) from wood waste materials (e.g. railway sleepers) by using supercritical extraction", authors: Robert Brzozowski, D.Sc., Chem.Eng., prof. of ICRI, dr. Stefan Szarlik, Chem.Eng. – from ICRI and Zbigniew Kołodziej, Chem.Eng., Wojciech Kołodziej, Chem.Eng., Michał Kluczek and Piotr Pałucki – from Extraction Devices Institute. This invention has also received the special award from JSC NIIAS (Russia).

The Institute was represented by: Dr. Regina Jeziórska, D. Sc., Eng., prof. of ICRI, member of the Jury - in the picture - and Mr Jerzy Prodan.
