Summary

The rigid polyurethane-polyisocyanurate (PUR-PIR) foams containing 5-25 wt.% of the fillers (aluminum hydroxide, melamine, starch, talc, chalk or borax) were the subjects of investigations. A PUR-PIR foam without the filler was a standard control sample. Thirteen functional properties of the products were estimated, taking into account especially the features characterizing combustibility (retention, burning time, combustion range and rate). On this basis the effects of the type and part of the fillers studied on the quality of the foams obtained were determined.
