We offer consultations in the field of ADR by a certified dangerous goods safety adviser.

The European ADR Agreement (fr. L'Accord européen relatif au transport international des marchandises Dangereuses par Route) is an international convention on the carriage of dangerous goods by road, done at Geneva on 30 September 1957. It has been ratified by Poland in 1975. Provisions of the ADR Agreement are amended every two years. The Agreement is currently in force in 44 countries. The ADR Agreement contains a number of requirements that must be met in order to make carriage of dangerous goods by road safe for humans and for the environment.

According to Article 15 of the Polish Act on the carriage of dangerous goods (
Dz.U.2011.227.1367) each participant of carriage of dangerous goods is obliged to appoint a Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser (DGSA). In case of carriage of dangerous goods by road, this obligation applies to the participants who have made at least once a year carriage of dangerous goods in quantities requiring labelling of orange-colored plates on vehicles.

The duties of DGSA include:

  1. ADR consulting addressed to a company (including selection of packages, tanks, containers, labelling of packages, tanks and vehicles, as well as the transport unit by warning labels and orange-colored plates);
  2. Preparation of an annual report on the company’s activities concerning the transport of dangerous goods.

Moreover DGSA is responsible for supervising of practices and procedures related to the activities of the company in terms of, inter alia: identification of dangerous goods, equipment used during the transport of dangerous goods, proper training of company’s employees, rescue operations in accidents and failures which can cause a threat for safety during transport, preparation of accident reports, control of requirements concerning loading and unloading, and many others.

Its should be also noted that any enterprise, which is required to work out the MSDS for substance or mixture, is obliged to complete Section 14 of the MSDS with data concerning transport of such a substance or mixture either by road (ADR) or by rail (RID) or by in land waterways (ADN).
