Modeling and computer simulations of spherulitic crystallization of polymers

SummaryA probabilistic model is described and used to predict the kinetics of conversion of a polymer melt into spherulites in isotherrnal and nonisothermal conditions, in confined volumes (Figs. 3-6), in fiber-reinforced composites (Figs. 7-10), and in the presence of a constant temperature gradient (Figs. 11-13). The modeling was also applied to predict the kinetics of crystallization and the temperature decrease in thick-walled products.
